Don’t let the word “general” fool you. Every facial offered by Younique Centre of Beauty is tailored to bring you impressive results. Having said that, for some clients who might be looking for a simple way to relax while receiving a boost to their skin, a general facial will serve you best.

  • What types of facials are considered “general”?

    Our most popular general facial is the organic facial. 


    Designed for all skin types, this facial is a great introduction to anyone who is looking to treat themselves to their first facial. 


    Done with an entire range of paraben-free and chemical-free ingredients that are all certified organic, this facial can quickly and easily boost your skin’s radiance without any extra treatments or specialized products. 


    If you have specific skincare concerns that you wish to address, you’ll likely find that some of the more specialized facials will suit you best. Specialized facials are discussed in the next section and can treat common skincare concerns including aging, skin dullness, and acne. We even have a facial that is specifically designed for teens.

  • What should I expect during my facial?

    If this is your first time having a facial, we are excited for you to experience the benefits. 


    Our organic facial is meant to be soothing, relaxing, and, most importantly, effective. Throughout the process, you will be treated to a variety of organic skincare products that have been specifically chosen by our team of experts at Younique Centre of Beauty.


    Using our professional massage techniques and tools, we’ll apply each product with care and precision in order to ensure the product is properly absorbed into your skin for the best results. 


    As the client, receiving your facial is largely a passive experience. Your aesthetician will take care of everything for you. 


  • How should I prepare for my facial? What should I expect after?

    Clients are often curious about how they should prepare for their facial, and luckily, you’ll find preparing for a facial is relatively straightforward. 


    Our biggest piece of advice for preparing for your facial is to be as comfortable as possible. Wear clothing you are comfortable in, and try your best to show up for your facial in a state of relaxation. While we know stress is not always entirely in your control, giving yourself plenty of time to show up for your appointment and ensuring you don’t book any stressful engagements prior to your appointment is probably best. 


    After your appointment, again, this is relatively straightforward. You’ll be able to continue about your day. You may experience some redness after your appointment simply due to an increase in blood flow; however, redness will significantly decrease after an hour or two.

  • What specialized facials do you offer?

    Here at Younique Centre of Beauty, we are pleased to offer a variety of specialized facials to help you with all your skincare goals.


    Our list of specialized facials includes collagen infusion facials, microcurrent and LED facials, teen facials, purifying facials, rejuvenating/hydrating facials, soothing anti-redness facials, and vitamin C brightening facials. 


    As you can probably see here, each facial offered targets a different skincare concern. For some of the less self-explanatory options, you’ll find more details addressed in a separate section. In general, though: 

    • If you struggle with dryness, book the hydrating facial. 
    • If you struggle with redness, book the anti-redness facial. 
    • If you struggle with dullness, book the Vitamin C Brightening facial. 
    • If you struggle with wrinkles, book the collagen infusion facial or the LED facial. 

  • What is the microcurrent and LED facial?

    One of our most popular treatments for anti-ageing, our clients love the microcurrent and LED facial. 


    Utilizing the power of LED technology, this facial works to lift and tighten the skin, while also simultaneously stimulating collagen and blood flow to the face. 


    The result is a tighter, firmer, more youthful-looking complexion. 


    If you’re unfamiliar with LED technology, there’s no need to worry. This is a non-invasive technology that simply uses various wavelengths of light. Keep in mind, UV rays are not involved in the process here, making this a totally safe and non-invasive technology. 


    Keep in mind that LED light therapy can also be very effective for the treatment of acne, making this an excellent option for those struggling with breakouts. 


  • What is a teen facial?

    While many of our clients are adults, we also have a handful of teen clients who come in looking to improve the state of their skin. 


    We understand that the teenage years can be rough on the skin. From changes in oil production and the sudden appearance of acne, we want to help teenagers with their skincare concerns. 


    This is why we created the teen facial. Specifically designed with sensitive teen skin in mind, this facial targets acne and oil production. The results should leave skin feeling healthier, more cleansed, and significantly purified. 


    We also offer a micro-dermabrasion option with this facial, which helps clear out pores, revealing healthier and brighter skin. 


  • What does the purifying facial consist of?

    Our purifying facial is our most cleansing facial. If you’re struggling with stubborn acne or the sudden appearance of new pimples, this facial can help. 


    One of the reasons clients love this facial so much is because we perform extractions. Extractions are essentially “professional” pimple popping that specifically targets blackheads. While you might feel you can take care of your own extractions, we highly recommend that extractions be done by a professional, since most at-home extractions will result in scarring. 


    In addition, the purifying facial also helps to remove the build-up of dead skin, which is another leading cause of acne. 


    Essentially, this facial will deep clean your pores, giving your skin a refreshed and renewed feeling. 


  • What is collagen?

    Collagen is a protein in your body, and if you’ve done any research at all into anti-ageing skincare treatments, then there’s a good chance you’ve come across the mention of collagen. 


    Collagen is what keeps skin looking plump and youthful, but unfortunately, as we age, our body naturally begins to produce less collagen, which is one of the reasons that skin tends to lose vibrancy with age. 


    To combat this, we offer the collagen infusion facial. On the surface, you’ll find that this facial automatically adds vibrancy back into your complexion, giving your skin more elasticity. In addition, with this facial, your body will also start naturally producing more collagen for more vibrancy even between facials.

Medi-spa services are essentially upgrades from your standard spa treatments. They are treatments that combine both the relaxing techniques and effective ingredients of traditional spa treatments, but we upgrade them with medical procedures that require specialized training and skills.
